Ordering & account
Do I need an account to order from Shirtsy?
No. Anyone can order at shirtsy.com as a guest — pick a product, design it in the browser, and check out with a card. An approved account is only required if you want to pay on Net 30 terms instead of paying up front.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimums. Every item is printed to order, so a single shirt is a perfectly normal order — and so is a thousand. You are never asked to buy a case pack or commit to a run size. See how it works.
Can I edit my design after I place the order?
Usually yes, but you have to be quick. Once we approve the artwork and the job enters production it cannot be changed, because the garment is already being printed. If you spot a flaw after submitting, contact us right away with your order number and we will pull it before it hits the press if there is still time.
Can someone help me with my design?
We do not offer a design service — we are a print shop, not a design studio, which is part of how we keep prices down. Our online designer is built to be used without any design experience: add text, upload an image, drag it into place, and preview it on the actual garment. If something in the editor is not behaving, get in touch and we will walk you through it.
What file type and image size should I upload?
PNG and JPG both work. For anything with a background you want removed, upload a PNG with a transparent background — a white box around your logo will print as a white box. Upload the highest-resolution file you have; artwork larger than 4,000 pixels is automatically resized on upload, so there is no need to shrink it yourself. Low-resolution images pulled from a website or a social profile will look soft when printed at full chest size.
How do I check on an order I already placed?
Everything lives in My Account — order history, status, invoices and tracking. You will also get a tracking number by email the moment the package ships.
Printing & products
Do you print in house?
Yes. Our Direct-to-Garment printers are in our own production facility in Dania Beach, Florida. We own and operate the equipment rather than brokering jobs out, which keeps costs down, keeps quality control in our hands, and means nobody is waiting on a third-party shop's queue.
What is Direct-to-Garment printing?
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing sprays the ink straight into the fabric, the way an inkjet prints onto paper. Because there are no screens to burn and no colour separations to set up, full-colour artwork and photographs cost the same to print as a one-colour logo, and a run of one is economical. The print is soft to the touch rather than sitting on top of the shirt as a thick plastic layer.
Is there a setup, screen or digitizing fee?
No. There are no screen fees, no setup fees and no digitizing fees. DTG printing goes straight from your uploaded file to the garment, so the price you see on the product page is the price of the item.
What products can I customise?
Shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, crop tops, jackets, shoes, hats and drinkware, plus office and promotional items such as business cards, mugs, mouse pads, magnets, postcards and stickers. Browse the full catalogue in the shop.
Do you sell ready-made items as well as custom ones?
Yes — our Boutique line is pre-designed apparel you can order as-is, with no design step. Boutique items are also the only products eligible for size exchanges, since they are not made to order.
Shipping & turnaround
How long does an order take?
Plan on 14–21 business days to produce the order in house, and then transit time on top of that. Standard UPS Ground runs 5–7 business days; 3 Day Select runs about 3 business days.
Choosing a faster shipping method does not shorten production. The 14–21 business days happen first either way — expedited shipping only speeds up the part after the box leaves our building. If you have a hard deadline, count backwards from it before you order. Full detail is in the shipping policy.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is a $19.99 flat rate within the United States, no matter how many items are on the order.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at the moment. We currently ship within the United States only.
Where do orders ship from?
Every order ships from our facility at 1210 Stirling Road, Suite 1A, Dania Beach, FL 33004.
How do I track my order?
A tracking number is emailed to you as soon as the order ships, and it is also on the order in My Account. If the tracking has not moved or something looks wrong, email [email protected] with your order number.
My order should have arrived and it has not. What should I do?
Before contacting us, check two things: that the delivery address on your shipping confirmation is correct, and whether the carrier left the package at a local UPS access point or with a neighbour. If the address was right and the package is genuinely missing, email [email protected] with your order number. We file a claim with the carrier, and once the order is credited back to us we ship a replacement.
What happens if my package is returned as undeliverable?
Packages come back to us when the address cannot be identified by the carrier or the shipment is never claimed. We hold the order and contact you to confirm a corrected address; reshipping it costs $9.99. Returns left unclaimed for more than 30 days are donated or destroyed, so please respond promptly if we reach out. The full policy is in returns & exchanges.
Returns, reprints & damages
Can I return a custom order?
Custom orders are final sale. Because each item is printed with your artwork specifically for you, it cannot be resold, so we do not accept returns or exchanges for buyer's remorse, a change of mind, or an ordering mistake such as the wrong size. Anything that is our error is a different matter — see the next two answers.
My item arrived damaged or misprinted. What now?
We reprint it and ship the replacement at no cost to you. Email [email protected] within 30 days of purchase with your order number and a photo of the problem. This covers misprints caused by us and manufacturing defects such as torn fabric or factory staining. Items that printed exactly as the artwork you submitted — including a low-resolution or mistyped file — are not covered.
Can I exchange an item for a different size?
Size exchanges are available on Boutique items only, within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused and in original condition. Custom-printed items cannot be exchanged for a different size, so check the size chart on the product page before ordering.
How long do I have to file a claim?
Thirty days. Claims for misprinted, damaged or defective items must be submitted within 30 days of purchase; for a package lost by the carrier, within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.
Net 30 accounts & business credit
What is a Shirtsy Net 30 account?
A Net 30 account lets your business order now and pay the invoice within 30 days instead of paying at checkout. You order as normal, choose Pay via NET30 Account at checkout, and the invoice comes due 30 days after the close of that billing cycle. It is the same terms arrangement you would have with any trade supplier, applied to custom apparel and merch.
What are the requirements to get approved for Net 30?
You need a US business, an EIN, and to be at least 18 years old. Approval is based on commercial data reports together with the information on your application — there is no personal guarantee and no hard pull on your personal credit. Applications are submitted online in about two minutes and most get a same-business-day decision. The most common reason an application stalls is an EIN that is already on file for another account.
What credit limit will I get?
Approved accounts open with a $400 starting credit line. That is the amount you can have outstanding at any one time. Your limit is set by a review of your business credit report together with the details on your application, and it can be reviewed for an increase as you build payment history with us.
What is the difference between my credit line and my tradeline?
Your credit line is what you can spend — $400 to start. Your tradeline is the account as it appears on your business credit file, reported up to $6,000 depending on the account. A tradeline is a record of the account and how it has been paid, not money available to spend, which is why it is usually the larger figure. These two get confused constantly, so it is worth being precise about which is which.
What exactly gets reported, and when?
We report your account and payment history to the business credit bureaus on a monthly basis. That is a factual record of the account and whether invoices were paid on time. Shirtsy makes no representations or promises about your credit profile, scores, or outcomes — we report factual account and payment information monthly; what any bureau or lender does with it is outside our control.
Does applying affect my personal credit?
No. We do not require a personal guarantee and we do not run a hard pull on your personal credit. Our approval process checks commercial data reports — your personal credit score is never touched or affected. Any credit reporting we do is to business credit bureaus, not personal ones.
What does a Net 30 account cost?
Membership is $99 per year — less than $9 a month. One flat annual fee covers your Net 30 credit line, unlimited orders, monthly business credit reporting and access to the whole catalogue. There are no per-order fees and no percentage markups. The membership fee is non-refundable.
When is payment due, and what happens if I pay late?
Your due date is at least 30 days after the close of each billing cycle, and the purchase APR is 0% when you pay the balance in full by the due date. Late fees are $15 on balances up to $100, $29 on balances from $100 to $250, and $39 on balances of $250 and over. A returned payment adds a $39 fee. Because payment history is what we report each month, keeping invoices current is the part of the account that matters most. Read the full Net 30 account terms.
How do I pay a Net 30 invoice?
Invoices are listed under My Account, and each one can be paid online by card. If you have saved a card for auto-billing, the invoice is charged automatically on its due date.
Are there other Net 30 vendors that report?
Yes, and it is worth comparing them. We put together a breakdown of Net 30 vendors that report to the business credit bureaus, including where Shirtsy fits.
Payments, pricing & support
What payment methods do you accept?
