Following the postseason exit, the team had the risk of losing LeBron James in the player option. And the team has almost secured him with the latest JJ Redick hire.Porno 1xbet But, now they have another similar imposing problem. The Lakers GM, Rob Pelinka, has to make an immediate hire in Redick’s coaching team to stop Anthony Davis from leaving the team. Featuring in the latest episode of the Mark Jackson Show, former NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins revealed the gravity of the AD situation. When the debate was around, Redick gaining James’ trust, Perkins introduced the AD problem. He said, “This is not about JJ and Bron being on the same page. This is about him and Anthony Davis.” He also added the “alarming” update about AD’s reaction to the Redick hire. The 9x All-Star reportedly wanted Rajon Rondo in the coaching team. Building on that, Perkins said that Redick, apart from gaining the trust of James, should also “gain that respect and trust of Anthony Davis”. And the only way to achieve that is by fulfilling Davis’ wish. Capturing that emotion rightly, Perkins impersonated AD, saying, “Bron, you got your guy. I need to get my guy.” ADVERTISEMENT Article continues below this ad USA Today via Reuters Apr 12, 2024; Memphis, Tennessee, USA; Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis (3) and forward LeBron James (23) sit on the bench during a time out during the second half against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum. He argued that AD was the “most important person” on the side, throwing a spade at King James. Additionally, this isn’t the first time after the Redick hire that Perkins stirred the Lakers pot. The 39-year-old didn’t hesitate to opine that the Lakers’ big man could leave the franchise if the Redick trick didn’t work out well for the side. He added, ” I’m gonna give it till the All-Star break. If JJ Redick is not thriving… I would not be surprised if he wants out of L.A., to be honest with you,” appearing on ESPN.  This is the one question that has been looming over the Lakers nation since the announcement. The Lakers recently appointed Redick as the head coach and he is the fourth replacement in the last six years. It only raised the expectations of the 40-year-old instead of giving him time to settle in. Nevertheless, in the recent interaction with the press, Redick showed confidence as he opened up about his approach to managing expectations. He said, “You know, you just really have to embrace things. You don’t run from it… Now, the expectations here are certainly different. And as we sort of build out the culture… You have to let go of outcomes. You just do. It has to be about the enjoyment and embracing the process.” Redick seemed to be more interested in building the team and enjoying the process. However, he also added, “I don’t look at the current roster as being that far off from a championship-caliber team.”  Importantly, it’s too early to determine the outcome of the upcoming season now. So, like everyone, all we can do is trust Redick’s plan for the Lakers.
